Support for the pipeline that would run from northern Alberta through B.C. to the west coast is split between the two provinces, but it’s slipping in both.

According to a poll by Insights West, two-thirds of Albertans support the pipeline.  That’s a drop from three out of four in January 2013. In B.C. Enbridge’s project only enjoys 38 percent support a dip of four percent

Insights West vice-president Mario Canseco says the numbers show even though the Harper Government gave it’s conditional stamp of approval, the two provinces affected by the project did not see that as a reason to back the Northern Gateway in greater numbers.

Results have a margin of error of plus or minus 4.3 percentage points for B.C. and 4.1 percentage points for Alberta, 19 times out of 20.
