A report by NextGen Climate is suggesting the oil pipeline would be vulnerable to attacks, the result of which could ruin water supplies for millions of people. It’s posited by a former Navy Seal, Dave Cooper, who was involved in the report, that as little as two kilograms of explosives would be enough to cause a massive environmental disaster.
NextGen Climate is a political group headed up by billionaire Tom Steyer.
The Keystone XL pipeline will be about 35-hundred kilometres long going from Northern Alberta to the Gulf of Mexico. There are already approximately 2.25-million kilometres of energy pipeline in North America right now.
