When the money was rolling in oil companies weren’t quite as concerned as they are now when it comes to finding new innovations to improve the bottom line.
Mark Stanley with Themark Corporation says he used to have trouble just getting in the door a couple of years ago to try to sell oil executives on his way to preserve water in drilling operations.
Now though Stanley says its much easier to get a meeting. Oil executives have more time because projects are on hold and are more open to improving operations. Even still the industry is notorious for being slow to adapt to new technology.
Stanley was a keynote speaker at the Oil & Gas Awards Industry Summit held in Calgary. iKan Media had the opportunity to discuss with him his topic – Changing the industry one innovation at a time.
