This is a big year for the Global Petroleum Show in Calgary. In the past it was held every year, but because of the demand and popularity of the event it is now annual.

For its first back to back year it started something new – the Global Petroleum Show Awards.  There are six categories.  Here are the winners:

-Aboriginal engagement – Cold Lake First Nations / Primco Dene

-Community engagement & corporate social responsibility – Enbridge Pipelines Inc

-Newsmakers of the year – Yadullah Hussain, Postmedia Network

-Leadership award – Peter Tetzakain, ARC Financial

-Environmental innovation – BC Oil & Gas Commission

-Innovation in technologies – Enereco

The Global Petroleum Show is on until June 11th at Stampede Park in Calgary.
